A Memorable Mother's Day Dinner with Snake River Farms

The Snake River Farms Kurobuta 1/2 Boneless Deli Ham is to be cooked in a roasting pan - I ended up using a corningware roasting pan that I got from my Mom. Totally perfect and fitting for this holiday meal!

I lightly sprinkled the American Kobe Filet Mignon steaks with the Fusion Espresso Brava Sea Salt that came with the Snake River Farms Super Mom Mother's Day Gift package. It's exactly what it's called - a fusion of sea salt and espresso. Oh me, oh my - where in the world have you been all of my life? The steaks are amazing on their own, this salt just took them to the next level!!

The Snake River Farms American Kobe Filet Mignon steaks feature a buttery texture, complex flavors, subtle sweetness and a lingering finish. Each filet mignon is hand-cut, hand-trimmed and perfectly portioned. The steaks will be unlike any you’ve ever made at home - they are flavorful, tender and amazingly marbled. This was my first time trying Wagyu beef and I was blown away by the flavor and tenderness - I totally get what the big deal is now!!

This Kurobuta pork is considered to be equal in status to “Kobe Beef.” Snake River Farms uses only 100% purebred Berkshire hogs as mandated by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture. The ham will be the best ham you’ve ever had! It’s not salty or watery like grocery store hams and it's a cinch to prepare and cut. I usually smother my hams with chili sauce, brown sugar and pineapple before baking - but I went ahead and tried the Kurobuta pork as-is, with no ingredients added. I was so pleased with the results! So succulent and flavorful!!!
