PlacerGROWN at Farm-to-Fork Festival

Whether you are a devotee of the Farm-to-Fork movement or just someone who loves to grub on seriously delicious food - you will not want to miss the Farm-to-Fork Festival in Downtown Sacramento on September 26th. This family-friendly event will feature food, wine and beer from regional eateries and purveyors, as well as live music, 5 live cooking demonstration stages, a kids’ zone, interactive booths from local grocers, farms and ranches and more! There is no fee to attend this delicious event - but make sure to bring some spending cash to try out some of the delicious food and drinks that the vendors have to offer. So much goodness packed into one area - it's going to be an amazing day!

The vendors I am crazy excited to check-out are from Placer County - a short jaunt up the freeway from where I live. Representing 1,244 farms and 19 award-winning wineries, Placer County will be highlighting its own fresh PlacerGROWN food and wine. There will be several Placer County Farm-to-Fork producers {such as Hillview Farms, pictured below} in attendance to answer questions and provide tasty treats from the region! Throughout the day, PlacerGROWN will host tastings, games and other family-fun activities to highlight Placer County agriculture and the benefits of preparing healthy meals with locally sourced, fresh ingredients.

Representatives from the Placer County area will include: PlacerGROWN, Placer County Visitors Bureau, Placer County Vintners Association, Cattle Women and more.
