These Eggnog French Toast Sticks are such a fun way to start the morning this holiday season! They are slices of texas toast dipped in a spiced eggnog-egg mix before being grilled to golden perfection - then topped with cinnamon-sugar. 

I like to serve my kiddos something sweet and seasonal on Christmas morning and these Eggnog French Toast sticks perfectly fit that bill. We enjoy the sticks appetizer-style - on one big plate with a side of syrup for all 6 of us to dip in. It would be lovely to sit-down and have a big breakfast, but ain't nobody got time for that with new toys waiting to be played with! So these Eggnog French Toast Sticks are an easy Christmas breakfast solution that is sure to please the whole family.

What do Eggnog French Toast Sticks and Hallmark Holiday Greeting Cards have in common? For one, they are both a tradition of our family's every holiday season. Eggnog French Toast Sticks
PRINTABLE RECIPE
Ingredients
6 slices of texas toast bread
¼ cup white sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 cup eggnog
3 eggs, whisked
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
butter
Directions
1 Heat griddle or skillet to medium heat.
2 Slice bread into 1” strips.
3 Whisk together white sugar and cinnamon, set aside.
4 Whisk together eggnog, eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg
5 Melt about a tablespoon of butter in skillet. You’ll want enough to coat the bottom of the pan, don’t be shy!
6 Quickly, dip the pieces of bread in eggnog mixture and then place in skillet. Don’t let the bread soak or the french toast sticks will end up soggy.
7 Cook bread on each side until golden brown, about 30 seconds-1 minute each side. Add more butter to skillet if necessary.
8 Immediately after the french toast sticks are removed from skillet, coat each stick with sugar-cinnamon. I just place a stick in the sugar and shake the bowl around a little bit, then shake any excess sugar off and place sticks on a cookie rack.
9 Repeat steps 5-8 until bread is gone. Enjoy!
